Wednesday in Tolhuistuin

Wednesday is a noisy indie rock band from Asheville, North Carolina, consisting of Karly Hartzman, MJ Lenderman, Xandy Chelmis, Alan Miller and Ethan Baechtold. The five makes music that fluctuates between alternative rock from the 90s, Shoegaze and Americana, with here and there a lap steel guitar for that characteristic country nin. This fall, their new album 'Bleeds', the successor of the much -praised 'Rat Saw God' from 2023. The first single, 'Wound Up here (by Holdin on)', is inspired by a story about a drowning in West Virginia, and contains a rule from a density of a friend of a friend of a friend. It is an example of how literature, memories and music at Wednesday seamlessly merge.
