8. February 2026: Hamburg, Molotow
9. February 2026: Berlin, Lido
10. February 2026: Munich, Strom
The indie rock band Wednesday from Asheville, North Carolina, is coming to Hamburg, Berlin and Munich in February 2026. Their new, highly anticipated album "Bleeds" will be released on September 19th by Dead Oceans / Secretly.
Just like their highly acclaimed previous album "Rat Saw God" (including #1 album of 2023 by the American opinion maker Stereogum, #4 by Pitchfork), "Bleeds" was created in their hometown of Asheville and was produced by Alex Farrar, who has been recording the band for many years. Singer/bandleader Karly Hartzman once again brought demos into the studio, where she and her bandmates - Xandy Chelmis (lap steel, pedal steel), Alan Miller (drums), Ethan Baechtold (bass, piano) and MJ Lenderman (guitar) - teamed up to create compositions with just the right amount of country truths, indie-pop hooks and sludge noise "Bleeds" is a patchwork triumph of literary allusions and outlaw grit, of local poetry and hair-raising noise. “Bleeds is the spiritual successor to Rat Saw God and, in my opinion, the quintessential ‘Wednesday Creek Rock’ album,” says Hartzman, pleased with the way her band has refined and refined their trademark sound, making them one of the most interesting rock bands of their generation. “This is what Wednesday songs should sound like,” she explains. "We've spent a lot of our lives trying to figure this out - and I feel like we've done it here."
The Berlin show is presented by FluxFM, Rolling Stone, Bedroomdisco, MusikBlog & ByteFM
