The Polish Institute Berlin, together with the National Forum for Music (Narodowe Forum Muzyki) and St. Hedwig's Cathedral, warmly invites you to a Christmas concert by the NFM Girls' Choir. The listeners can look forward to an evening with Polish and international Christmas songs for 50 voices.
Concert starts: 7:30 p.m.
Admission: free
Admission starts at around 7:00 p.m. (after the eve mass for the third Advent, which is celebrated from 6 p.m.)

The NFM girls' choir (Chór Dziewczęcy Narodowego Forum Muzyki we Wrocławiu), which includes girls aged nine to eighteen, was founded in September 2022 by Andrzej Kosendiak. Since the beginning it has been under the direction of Małgorzata Podzielna, who initiated the founding of the ensemble. Since 2023, Mikołaj Szczęsny has been working as assistant to the artistic director of the ensemble.
Despite its short existence, the NFM Girls' Choir actively participates in the musical life of Wrocław and realizes artistic projects in collaboration with well-known international and Polish conductors and ensembles. The choir regularly performs at festivals and concerts in Poland and abroad, presenting both sacred and secular music. Among the most important events in which he took part are concerts as part of the International Festival "Wratislavia Cantans" in. Andrzeja Markowskiego (2023, 2024), of the Leo Festival and the European Youth Festival “Fête de l’Europe” in Dresden. The choir took part in numerous events in Lower Silesia and received numerous prizes and awards.

Małgorzata Podzielny – artistic director of the NFM Boys' Choir and the NFM Girls' Choir, conductor, author, lecturer, educator; habilitated doctor in musicology in the field of conducting. She works as a professor at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, where she teaches choral conducting and children's choir conducting methodology with practical lessons. She regularly leads workshops and seminars on the subject of children's and youth choirs. For her artistic and didactic achievements she received forty awards, including the honor of “Deserver of Polish Culture”, the Second Degree Prize of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Bronze Cross of Merit. She is the winner of the Wroclaw Art Prize 2023 in the Classical Music category “for her sensational vocal training, her outstanding artistic achievements and the great first season of the NFM girls’ choir founded in 2022”. The vocal ensemble she leads, Rondo, won the Stefan Stuligrosz Grand Prix of Polish Choral Music in Poznań in 2019 and 2022, the highest award for choirs in Poland, twice Wrocław. Since 2023 he has been working with the National Music Forum in Wrocław, where he works as assistant to the artistic director of the NFM Boys' Choir and the NFM Girls' Choir. Außerdem leitet er den Chor der Evangelisch-Augsburgischen Gemeinde „Gottes Vorsehung” in Wrocław. He is a winner of national and international organ competitions and a scholarship holder of the Polish Prime Minister and the Board of Directors of the Opole Voivodeship.
