Wernisch

The work of the poet, the translator, the editor, the journalist, the chant, the mystifier, the solitaire, the pilgrim and the dream of Ivan Wernisch's optics, director Jan Nebeský. Wernisch's seemingly accessible, yet elusive and refined verses, his secular and spiritual poetry, words with a mask of published mocking, and a designer confession of uncertainty and desire, direct celebration of word and rhythm, new impacts of meanings. Verses beloved, poems remote, unknown texts and brand new work, written directly for this production.
