About event
On the occasion of the World Theater Day, we focus every year on such forms, forms and use of theater that are not commonly visible and have a deeper social overlap. For this year's symbolic celebration we chose the theme of the theater in prison. The choreographer Zdeněk Prokeš staged with prisoners in the remedial facilities of the West Side Story. At the premiere and the only reprisal in the prison, all tears were flowing. The strength of this act will be personally closer to the authors and one of the protagonists Martin Szamek. Kriesapova
18:45 - projection of the TV documentary West Krim Story (directed by Lea Rajtcová) about the creation and behind the scenes of the project
19.15 - discussion with the creators of Z. Prokeš, V. Glancová and protagonist Martin Szam People in prison in Příbram and Světlá nad Sázavou under the leadership of a prison chaplain and governess Vendula Glanc and choreographer and director Zdeněk Prokeš were reserved. The test process took place for five months in both prisons at the same time. The closed premiere (and the final performance at the same time) took place in June 2024 in Pribram Prison and thus linked female and male protagonists, despite the distance and circumstances. The record of the performance performed by amateur actors and dancers is an engaging and emotional confrontation of several worlds, two of which are currently unable to meet personally.
We cordially invite, free entry.
