About event

Discover in Human Habitats how wild animals surprisingly thrive in European cities and enjoy the unique botanical garden Kralingen.

In addition to the usual range of the most beautiful nature films from home and abroad, Wildlife Filmfestival Rotterdam (WFFR) is also entering the neighborhood this year. This is also the case to the hidden gem of Botanical Garden Kralingen.

This evening starts at 7:30 PM with a tour of city nature. This is followed by the main film 'Human Habitats' and the short film 'Bird in My Backyard'

about the movie

The cities and villages of Europe do not only attract tourists. Paris may be known as one of the most "rat -rich" cities in the world, yet the realization is slowly growing there that these rodents may be allies rather than enemies. In Spain, huge white storks build their nests on church roofs. Dice snakes catch fish in artificial waterfalls, while tucks effortlessly climb the steep walls of a dam. And in Portugal, hungry bats are credited to beetles in a majestic palace library.
