Janoušek-Wróbleski Quartet is an acoustic quartet combining improvised music with compositions from the workshop of both breaths. The Quartet was originally fundamentally influenced by the New York jazz downtown (Sex Mob, Medeski-Martin-Wood, Bobby Previte, Ray Anderson, Marty Ehlrich), and over time this direct inspiration has partially disappeared and the Quartet has become a set of so many sources. The compositions are eclectic, music draws on different traditions, everything is connected by total improvisation. The first double -album of wedding/balls was published virtually in 2019 and contains genre diverse compositions (New Orleans, Free Jazz, Hard Bop, Surf Rock, Brass, etc.) and as the authors themselves say: on double albums you will find songs nice and ugly, cheerful and sad. In October 2022, the ensemble released the second album: The stressed teddy bear Koala on the brink of forces looking for happiness accidentally burned in a forest fire. He graduated from KJJ, JAMU and also in Norway Norges Musikkhøgskkole. Today is one of his most prominent author projects band E Converso. Štěpán Janoušek is a jazz thrombonist and singer. He teaches improvisation and play on the trombone at the J. Ježek Conservatory. Currently, his main musical ensemble and cappella jazz sextet sketches. Janoušek won the final of the international competition of jazz thrombonists under 25 years (ITA J. J. Johnson Competition). Both main protagonists are complemented by great bassist Miloš Klápště and original drummer Jan Chalupa.
