About event
Since the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023, the uncertainties and challenges for those involved in education have increased: How to talk about (Israel-related) anti-Semitism and how to structure lessons on this complex range of topics?
Many multipliers are confronted with silence or polarized or even aggressive positions from colleagues and students. They are uncertain about their own knowledge levels and perspectives. The online consultation hours on the topic of anti-Semitism, Israel and schools offer the opportunity for reflection, learning and collegial exchange without a predefined program. In an open space, insecurities and one's own ambivalences can be reflected on in order to enable language skills and self-reflection. In a conversation with the Israeli education expert and author Anita Haviv, there is the opportunity to ask questions and exchange case studies and experiences in order to strengthen each other and develop your own perspective.
The online consultation hours are primarily aimed at teachers and other pedagogical multipliers. It is a joint event of the Evangelical School Foundation in the EKD and the “Image Disorders” project of the Evangelical Academy in Berlin.
When registering, please let us know your individual topic request for the consultation hour.
With the kind support of the Pedagogical-Theological Institute of the Northern Church.
