Trauma, escape, search for (national) identity.
Audio guide, movement, (personal) statements.
The protected natural area of the Dobroč Forest as a contrast to the social (concrete) jungle full of crooked characters. The seeming refuge hides Dante's path to knowledge: nine circles revealing mysterious creatures as well as glimpses of (national) memories and grievances.
The renowned theater artist Alžbeta Vrzgula created an author's text directly for the Studio Dance Theatre, which talks about the traumas that we cannot escape from, because they have been part of our bodies and national consciousness for generations. By means of the synthesis of sensations and with an audio guide through the inner world, the viewers pass through several layers of art. At the end of the journey, however, knowledge awaits and perhaps an answer to the question of Slovak identity in the 20s of the 21st century.
"For a while they said that I was a tiger, a Carpathian beast, but the image I spread about myself lied like a profile picture on Tinder. I am not a predator. I am not even prey. I am Slovak and no other, I can spread the plague and jump off the boat in time."
