After seven acclaimed albums, Canadian indie rock veterans Wintersleep are back! "Wishing Moon", the band's eighth album, will be released on March 27, 2026 and ushers in a new era for the band.
"Wishing Moon" promises a glorious garage rock rush, a perfect alchemy of jubilation and majesty that has always characterized Wintersleep's sound. Recorded in the studio of producer Nicolas Vernhes (The War on Drugs, Deerhunter, Animal Collective) in the middle of the Mojave Desert, the collection of 12 songs testifies to new vitality and energy: the band's influences from prog, indie, folk and alternative rock are in full bloom and reach towards the sky with grateful, open and curious hearts. “The band’s always at its strongest when there’s a fundamental groove that’s rolling along,” says drummer Loel Campbell – and promises an energetic live implementation of the new album, as well as older songs from the band’s 20-year history.
Wintersleep are coming to Germany in April 2026 with “Wishing Moon” for three exclusive shows – the perfect opportunity to wake up from hibernation and finally have a really good indie show again see!
