About event
WOODPACK BROTHERS
The original idea of the group WoodPack Brothers was creation as a form of improvisation. After several years, the group settled in the current line-up, and among the improvisations, original compositions in an original mix of jazz, world music, and ambient genres were added. These currently form the main part of the program. The members of the group were united by the challenge to work musically with the unique WoodPack instrument, which has been produced in Slovakia by musician Boris Čellár for almost 10 years. It is an intuitive melodic-percussive instrument, which in a short time found a place in the music of world performers and which also appears in the music of the WoodPack Brothers.
The band consists of established Slovak musicians known for their own projects, moving between different genres. This makes this group unique not only by the variety of sounds, but also by the distinctive musical feeling of each of them.
WoodPack Brothers:
Boris Čellár - guitar, percussion, flute, vocals
Valér Miko - piano, percussion
Ajdži Sabo - drums
Michal Šelep - bass
guest: Tóno Popovič - percussion, melody, trumpet, vocal
We look forward to seeing you in the cozy attic of Art Cafe in Banská Štiavnica.
