Workshop BioMateriais

Come and learn how to make the materials of the future with Biolab Lisboa at the BioMateriais Workshop, Saturday, October 14th at 10am!

This event will be organized by the BioLab Lisboa team, the first Portuguese citizen laboratory that has as one of its objectives to make science accessible by demystifying it in particular through workshops, showing sustainable alternatives for everyone

In this workshop on biomaterials, participants will have the opportunity to learn how to create biomaterials using raw materials biodegradable and more sustainable, namely alginate, from algae or oyster shells, collected in an old aquaculture area on one of the islands in the estuary.

The event will be practical, allowing everyone to get their hands on in the dough, it will begin with a brief theoretical presentation to contextualize the concepts and techniques to be applied.

This workshop is an opportunity for those who want to explore ecological alternatives to traditional plastics of fossil origin and be inspired for new applications of these materials.< /p>
