Your personal map of Trenčín: The city in the palm of your hand 🖐️
Each of us leaves our mark on the city. The streets we walk on shape our daily journeys, memories and experiences. We invite you to a two-day workshop led by the international artistic couple Cara Davies (UK) and Mads Floor Andersen (DK).
Together we will explore the connection between the city and our lives.
🔍 WHAT WILL WE DEDICATE?
» We will discover the memories hidden in the city.
» We will look at Trenčín through the eyes of different people.
» We will find out how our age or abilities they affect how we move in the city and what we see in it.
We start with a simple gesture - a handshake. By creating a palm print, each and every one of you will create your own personal map of the city of Trenčín, thanks to which we will create our own paths through the city. During the walks, we will discover his stories and experiences, which, with the help of the lecturer, we will turn into conversations and artistic creation - drawing, writing and body work.
The workshop will be bilingual (English with Slovak translation).
HOW TO REGISTER? 👀
» The workshop is open to everyone from 10 to 99+ years.
» You do not have to have previous artistic experience.
» You can come alone, or in pairs or in a group – ideal when different generations meet.

» duration: 2 days (both days from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., including lunch break)
» entrance: free
» capacity: max. 20 people

We implement the "Lifelines" workshop as part of the Generations Together project, which is part of Trenčín 2026. Trenčín 2026 is financially supported by the City of Trenčín, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region and the Ministry of Culture of the SR. The project partner is the European Union.
