Workshop - The power of conscious touch - Learning to receive and give conscious touch
The focus of this workshop is the examination of the basic need for mindful touch.
- Touch is like fire: it can give us warmth and light, or threaten and hurt us
- There are two basic needs related to touch - what are they and how do we fulfill them? What are the consequences of non-fulfillment?
- Trust and mindfulness are the basis of conscious touch. But how?
→ Learn to trust: The recipients refine their sense of what they really want and what they don't. You practice communicating this clearly and confidently. They learn that they are responsible for their own experiences. You learn to trust yourself. You practice actively receiving and experiencing joy and gratitude.
→ Learn mindfulness: The givers learn to recognize and communicate their own limits. You learn to consciously deal with the wishes and boundaries of others. You will learn to give with all your heart and experience joy and fulfillment.
- Exercises on boundaries and personal responsibility: a first small introduction to the Wheel of Consent by Dr. Betty Martin, which will be discussed in more detail in Part II of the workshop.
- We enter into an open exchange about what it does to our relationships - both with ourselves and with others - when we have this knowledge integrate into our everyday life.
