About event
Are you 13-19 years old and interested in how to get involved in creating the cities we live in? We invite you to a full-day creative workshop inspired by a BBC interview from 1966, in which children imagine the year 2000.
Together we will share the experience of lecturers of children's creative workshops with architects and urban planners (about the functioning of the city), biodesigners (about the concept of nature) and technological experts (about the use of artificial intelligence). From the point of view of social sciences, we will explain the possibilities of the participation of the young generation in solving problems and creating their neighborhoods and cities.
We will present the new Regional Plan of the city of Košice and try to imagine the year 2100 in the relationship between me and my immediate surroundings – family and friends, the city district, the city of Košice, eastern Slovakia and Slovakia, Europe and the planet. On specific assignments, we will design the Košice of the future, its architecture, urbanism, infrastructure, nature, etc. The ambition is to understand how the city works and how we can actively contribute to its future. Also prepare for the future of those to whom it is intended - the young generation.
You don't need any technical or theoretical skills, just curiosity about how the city works and its creation. You can come alone or accompanied by parents or siblings. The workshop will last until 16:00, lunch is provided.
Participation in the workshop is free, but registration is required.
