Workshop s Katarínou Bajkayovou: Modelovanie hlineného reliéfu

The workshop with the artist Katarína Bajkayová follows on from her exhibition Prunus Persica at GMB, which deals with the theme of motherhood and existential questions of life. Through ceramic objects and video, the author portrays experiences and emotions that become inspiration for creation. The exhibition will be guided by the author herself in cooperation with gallery teacher Ludmila Hrachovinová. During the workshop, the participants will focus on modeling clay relief. They will try the techniques of working with clay: creating plastic ornaments and textures, and combining shapes and effects that emphasize the depth of the relief. The main emphasis will be on the material and tactile experience of the relief, the process of experimentation and the preservation of emotions in clay form.

Katarína Bajkayová completed her master's and doctoral studies at the Faculty of Arts of the Technical University in Košice. He specializes in spatial installations made of ceramics in combination with other materials and has experience in conducting workshops, especially in cooperation with Šopa Gallery in Košice.

There is no need to bring any art aids or previous experience or artistic ideas to the event - everything necessary will be provided. Comfortable clothing is recommended, protective aprons will also be available.
