About event
Do you want to find out how to use the universe to revive teaching not only in the field of STEM objects? At the "Learn with the Universe", you will find out how to connect the Observatory and Planetarium Brno program with additional teaching materials of the European Space Agency.
Workshop program:
1. Tour of the Observatory and Planetarium Brno (60 minutes)
Explore the background of the observatory, its technological equipment, the possibilities of popularization and find out interesting facts that are invisible during a normal visit.
2. A workshop in the lecture hall (60 minutes)
Interactive workshop aimed at involvement of the universe theme in teaching and acquainting with the instruments of the Educational Office of the European Space Agency. We will show you some activities that you can implement in teaching, for example, how to effectively use satellite imaging not only in geography.
3. The Digitarium show (30 minutes)
Enjoy an audiovisual experience in the digitarium with the show on your request.
For whom the workshop is intended for:
The workshop is intended for elementary school teachers (2nd grade), high schools and grammar schools who want to enrich the teaching and involve the cosmic topic in various subjects, but also to all leisure organizers activities that are interested in space, technology and innovation in Education.
