About event
We invite you to spend time together, where we will participatively create a drinking cup from recycled ceramic parts. During the workshop, we will experience the joy of joint creation, learn new skills - from mosaic preparation to jointing. The process does not end there. The goal is to bring children and adults to care for public space and nature. On hot days, it will be necessary to continuously pour water into the watering hole. This will smoothly transfer care to the community.
The drinker will be a combination of ceramic parts and porcelain mosaic. It will serve birds, hedgehogs, and other creatures. We will combine functionality, art and community to remind ourselves that our sensitivity to the environment is an important step in our busy everyday life.
Children can also participate in the workshop.
The workshop will take place in the Community Garden on the rubble. You can join the process at any time, come, go, as it suits you. However, if you want to absorb know-how about the entire technology, come to the entire workshop! the oversized drinking cup that we will make together at this workshop will be installed in the park near Poliklinika sever during the final event on May 13, 2026.
The workshop lecturer is Andrea Čepiššáková. Andrea is a well-known Košice artist, ceramic artist and ceramist who often recycles ceramics and porcelain in her work and creates various objects from them.
Participate in the activities of the Climate Resistant Neighborhood project, collect points and win great prizes! You can get a participation card directly at each event from the organizers.
