Workshop weekend with Judith & Diego "El Pajaro" Riemer
Sat, February 28, 2026
2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. WS 1: Caminatas & small figures for the salon
(from intermediate level I)
Basic elements such as ochos, paradas or a small twist - we combine basic structures in small combinations that work well in the Let's dance in the salon.
4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. WS 2: Milonga with and without traspié
(from intermediate level I)
Find the groove of the milonga in the rhythmic simplicity or the skilful doubling
Sun, March 1st, 2026
1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. WS 3: Boleos & Ganchos
(good intermediate - advanced)
Two dynamic elements in tango that can be combined "infinitely" and challenge balance and precision when working together
15:00 - 16:30 WS 4: Nice surprise - breaking routines
(good intermediate - advanced)
We all have our favorite steps and our own Body routines, and tango definitely favors processes - recognizing these and consciously breaking them every now and then and thus ensuring surprises is our concern.

Further information:
Diego Riemer is a versatile artist in the fields of dance, music and design. He started tango in his hometown of Buenos Aires, learned from the old dancers and milongueros and perfected his technique with various professional dancers in the 90s. Today he lives in Lyon and works with various partners around the world. With his creativity and musicality in tango, he inspires other dancers. His way of dancing Milonga, his humor and his temperament make him an exceptional dancer.
