Since her concert in February sold out so quickly, we are very happy that Yael Lidbaum will be coming to Berlin again in November!
With a concert on November 16th. and a workshop on November 17th
Yael Lidbaum is a musician and peace activist.
Her video "Prayer of the Mothers", in which thousands of Palestinian and Israeli women marched together from northern Israel to Jerusalem in 2016 to call for peace went around the world back then - and is unfortunately more relevant than ever.
Now, in these times of war, in which the voices of hate in her country and in the world are escalating, Yael is emerging the stages of Europe to let their voices sound again and remind us of our dream of peace. To remind us of all the good, moderate people on both sides of the border who are trapped in this terrible war.
"I pray that the people of the world find a way to address the situation beyond political opinions and To look at propaganda and to see and care for the children, all children, both in Israel and Palestine. That we look beyond our hatred and condemnation and find all-encompassing solidarity.
We support the people who seek peace, and promote a dialogue that can open a door to hope."

What about the woman?
The memory of our true Voice as free women.
For thousands of years the female voice has been limited and silenced. In the Jewish religion, for example, a woman's voice is directly linked to her sexuality, as Orthodox Jewish women are not allowed to sing in front of men. Like our sexuality, our voice is the key that connects us to our true power. She is great, she is beautiful, she is wise and holds great spiritual expression. An expression that we have not allowed ourselves to express freely for far too many generations.
For all people, the voice is a conductor - a meeting point between spirit and matter. And for most of us, access to this gate is limited by the barriers that life has taught us to put up.
Through our breathing, through exercises and some simple tools, we will learn to overcome these barriers of shame, of judgment and guilt and freeing the wings of the hidden voice, loving it again, enjoying this free expression as an individual and as part of a group and connecting our voices in harmony.
The workshop includes meditative methods and technical tools for healthier singing, exercises, improvised circle singing and ceremonies.
The workshop is aimed at all women who simply enjoy singing.
