About event
Yale Tree is a violinist and ethnographer who began to carry out field research among the remnants of Jewish and Roma communities in Eastern Europe. The tree traveled around the world, but in particular it found unilateral folk melodies in the Carpathians and the region formally called Besarabia. The tree seized his knowledge and began writing books and theater games, directing documentary films, organizing photos of photographs and founding his klezmer/Roma band Hot Pstromi. The latest recording "The Wolf and the Lamb" (filmed for Naxos/Arc live in Shakh Synagogue in Holešov) contains Stroma, Schwartz, Court and Yasin plus Americans Peter Stan and Norbert Stachel. There will be many melodies and songs that the tree found and also some of its own compositions. The concert will also include the improvisation of musicians of his amazing band, which draws on jazz, avant -garde, bluegrass, classics and other genres.
