About event
When Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk is mentioned, many people think of "the first Czechoslovak president". However, from the position of a teacher, philosopher and humanist, he left behind a large number of thoughts and reflections that formed a solid part of the pillars of Czechoslovak democracy and the development of civil society. We will discuss Masaryk's life, work and position in the YMCA movement with Tomáš Jahelek - a political scientist and expert on this personality of our history and political thought.
Moderated by: Lukáš Krajčír (Historical Revue), discussed by: PhDr. Tomáš Jahelka, PhD. (Faculty of Philosophy of Trnava University in Trnava)
YMCA discussions are a debate format of the YMCA building in Bratislava, whose creators have the ambition to follow up on the once popular and widely attended discussions in the premises of the building.
