The Municipal Library in Prague and the Institute of Formal and Applied Linguistics of the Charles University announces the third year of the literary competition. The results will be announced as part of the AI Days in November 2025.
Imagine your ideal writer. Who is it? What style is he? What does his world look like? And what would he write? In the third year of the AI literary competition, we want to examine how the personality of a fictitious author affects the form of the resulting text. How to do it?
1) Create a fictitious personality of the writer. You can think of it all by yourself or in cooperation with AI. Create the description as detailed as you see fit.
2) Generate a short story: Use the author's description as a key part of the prompt to generate a short story using AI. Your text should reflect the personality of this fictitious writer - his style, themes and a unique view of the world. Connect one paragraph with the medallion of this fictitious author, who will also see the jurors. Stories that come in English will be translated into Czech using the Deepl translator without further editorial adjustment. The author of a maximum range of 1000 characters including spaces
- each participant can send only one job to the competition. Here we ask for the following information:
--- To what extent you used AI to create a fictitious author (in percent: 0%-completely your work, 100%-the author is completely generated)
--- how much do you feel the author of the story? (in percent: 0%-it all wrote AI, 99%-most of it is my work).
--- How much do you know about AI? (Do you work with it normally or you tried it more or less for the first time…)
--- What is your experience with writing fiction? (You've never written anything, you are writers…)
--- What model AI did you use? (Also include the version: eg GPT4O, Claude 3 Sonet…)
-Send the competition work to [email protected] and enter a Z-Ai-Mixed writer in the subject. Do not forget to include your name and surname in the email.
