About event
🎶 Zabiť František is the pseudonym of the songwriter Samuel Kovalčík, a Slovak alt-folk songwriter who combines elements of indie-pop and Czech-Slovak folk in his music.
With his second studio album entitled II, which was awarded the Radio_head Awards 2024 in the Folk music category, singer-songwriter Zabiť František continues linearly from where his debut from 2021 left off. The ever-present bricolage of (pop) cultural references and a uniquely captivating vocal delivery open up to the audience topics such as the crisis of masculinity, the return of war clouds over Europe, the mortality of the soul, but they also articulate an unceasing hope for change. The songs will be performed for acoustic guitar and synthesizer.
