About event
We invite you to the opening of the exhibition Forgotten Stories of Women in Times of Crisis, which will take place on June 18, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at contemporary_souvenir on Medena Street in Bratislava.
The exhibition is the result of collaboration between the illustrator Katarína Hutníková and women from the civil association Edeqec – Ivana Godulová, Veronika Kusyová, Magdaléna Musilová, Michaela Ujházyová, who have long been dedicated to spreading awareness about the importance of the Slovak National Uprising and about the life and role of women during the Slovak state (1939 – 1945). The exhibition draws attention to the fact that the history of crises and conflicts is not only made up of large military events, but also the often invisible work of people caring for others. It follows on from the methodological manual of the same name intended for teachers, workers in informal education.
