At the event, we will present Oľga Krajčiová's book To ta ta musi baviť (TATRAPLAN, 2025), which contains six short stories inspired by real events from the environment of mountain rescue.
Mountain rescuers are at the center of the stories. Not as heroes of great deeds, but as people with their decisions, doubts, fears and joys. The text is direct and lively - sometimes lighthearted, sometimes painful. It talks about those who help others, but at certain moments find themselves in situations where they need help.
Each short story takes place in a different time and place, but the individual stories are subtly connected. The book is a statement about happiness in misfortune, about inner strength, determination and the limits that a person encounters in extreme conditions.
The event will also include a screening of Matej Rumanský's photographs, which accompany the book and were created during its writing.
The book will be available for purchase at the event.

Oľga Krajčiová (1982), from Zvolen, graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts. After completing her studies, she lived abroad for a long time. He cooperates with the editors of the Polish magazine Tatry, where he mainly deals with topics about mountains and the unmissable people in them. In 2023, she published her first book, Viktor - stories of a cottager and porter about the life of Viktor Beránek. The book was awarded at the international book fair in Krakow. Her second book, To ta muste bavi, is from the environment of mountain rescue. It was inspired by real events, when those who rescue in the mountains also need help themselves.
