Zaho de Sagazan in Tolhuistuin - ADE

Zaho de Sagazan is a French-speaking singer-songwriter who released her debut album 'La symphonie des éclairs' last year. In her teenage years, Zaho developed a preference for classical French chanson: she admired the verbal skills of Maurice Fanon in 'L'Écharpe' or those of Barbara in 'Du bout des lèvres', because they touched the most intimate emotions. She also explored the darker, pounding electro of bands like Kraftwerk. Both worlds come together on the album: French chansons with a dark edge, sung by a voice of metallic velvet.
