The two-day course "Fundamentals of communication with people with intellectual disability and ASD in the environment of social services" is focused on the specifics of communication with people with mental disabilities and ASD (general principles, manifestations of certain specific signs, possibilities for developing communication, alternative and augmentative forms of communication, stigmatization of people with communication disabilities, etc.). It aims to familiarize participants with the possibilities of how to listen effectively, how to grasp communication, how to understand the needs and wishes of a person who does not communicate verbally or whose communication skills are limited in a certain way, what to notice and what to focus on.
