About event
We invite you to a guided tour and dernissage of the ZAKLIATA BRATISLAVA exhibition with author Filip Bielek and curator Miroslava Urbanová!
The exhibition "Enchanted Bratislava" tries to point out the problematic understanding and formation of public space after 1989 in our territory, both from the architectural and urban aspects. In this process, the public interest often loses in the battle with private investment interests. The reality of bizarre new buildings springing up all over Slovakia and dominantly our capital has already become a kind of historical layer, both formally and content-emptied, which raises the question - to whom does public space really belong? All of us, or just a select few who manipulate it as they please? Who is his true master?
The activities of the FOR MAAT gallery were supported from public funds by the Art Support Fund, which is the main partner of the project. FOR MAAT Gallery is a partner of Trenčín 2026.
Trenčín 2026 is financially supported by the City of Trenčín, the Trenčín Self-Governing Region and the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic. The partner is the European Union.
