About event
Backbend asanas are behind a) a tool to "move and communicate" with the emotional body b) the necessary direction of spinal bending in order to achieve and maintain spinal health and functional mobility.
If anything hurts in backbend asanas, they will probably the hip. This pain usually discourages us from further bending, or completely draws our attention, which should be elsewhere during the exercise. It often happens that it does not reach the place where we would need the tilt in the first place. That place is the chest. Breath is the solution.
This meeting is not suitable for complete beginners. It will be especially appreciated by those who are already practicing, but have respect for backbend asanas.
The program will mainly focus on breathing, to which approximately ½ of the seminar will be devoted. We will experiment with exhalation, engaging the pelvic floor, directing the breath to any part of the body, especially the loins. For all this, we will use several simple but effective techniques.
Part of the seminar will be a short explanation of how to lean so as not to hurt yourself, but to have a real effect.
The last part of the seminar will be devoted to asanas that purposefully move body parts used in backbends. The highlight will be urdhva dhanurasana ("bridge"). We will try to make it technically correct, based on the breath. I'm not saying it will be easy or painless, but let's just say it could be the first step to making it painless one day :))
