About event
The exhibition offers the first ever opportunity to see the original comic pages from 1938-1941 in their entirety. The museum prepared the exhibition as a certain "exhibition series". Divided into four temporal episodes, the exhibition will gradually present all the preserved pages in the drawings of Jan Fischer and Václav Junk and offer visitors the opportunity to compare the artistic rendering with the typescript scenarios that Jaroslav Foglar prepared for his cartoonists.
The most famous Czech comic series Rychlé šypy was published from December 1938 on the pages of the magazine Mladý hlasatel and in three or not three-year eras gave rise to to the captivating serial world, which appeals to multitudes of readers even more than 85 years after its birth.
The exhibition was created in cooperation with the Scout Foundation of Jaroslav Foglar and the Institute for Czech Literature of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Special thanks also go to Martin Izer, Petr Vochozko and Josef Bláh for providing the displayed exhibits.
