"Light a candle" - World Day of Remembrance of Deceased Children
Having children is not a given. In the course of everyday joys and worries, we often do not realize this. Let's pause for a moment. Let's light a candle and honor the memory of all children and young people who left this world before they could grow up and grow old.
The second Sunday in December is the World Day of Remembrance of Deceased Children. This day unites families and friends all over the world. The candles are lit at 19:00 local time and form a virtual wave of light around the globe.
The mission of the day is to honor the memory of deceased children, to involve friends of families in the preparation of a memorial event or to support remembrance. An expression of solidarity with all the bereaved families around the world.
Open meetings of families, friends and the public are held in various places in our country, connected with a cultural program, which are open to all interested people who want to come, light candle, leave a message.
Klára helps z.s. together with the Long Road z.s. prepare for this day every year the event Concert for Klára "Light a candle", at which the Jaroslav Kvapil Basic Art School Brno, a contribution organization, will perform.
We cordially invite you to join memories.
When: Sunday 8 December 2023 from 16:00 to 17:30 hours
Where: HALL OF THE MERCIFUL BROTHERS, VÍDEŇSKÁ 7, BRNO
(The hall is entered from Vídeňská street through the historic entrance gate, which is located to the left of the monastery. This gate you will get to the monastery garden, from which you can already enter the hall.)
After the concert, we invite everyone to a small refreshments.
