About event
Neo -Renaissance decoration, marble waiting rooms, Aksamite seats and hooting trains… What did the most beautiful station in Central Europe look like? Who built it and why was it demolished? The exhibition of historical photographs in the depot of Masaryk Station will commemorate the famous past of the Prague-Těšnov railway station, also known as Denis.
Discover a story that began to write a hundred and fifty years ago and ended in an infamous demolition in 1985. You can also look into the future. There will be a study for the reconstruction of the dilapidated Art Nouveau railway station Prague-Vyšehrad, which perhaps awaits better times. You can also see a new project of the Museum of the Railway and Electrical Engineering of the National Technical Museum (NTM).
The exhibition takes place in cooperation with the Museum of Prague, Karlin Port Real Estate and NTM.
Open on the weekend of 17 and 18. 5. From 10 am to 6 pm. | Entrance free
Input: end U Horskéhrskéhrskéhrského Street (arrival from Hybernská and U Horskéhrskéhrskéhořská Street).
The event is part of the 11th year of the Open House Prague.
