About event
For the fifth time we will revive on Petřiny Street behind the subway all -day program for neighbors with neighbors. The celebration is organized by the association together in Petřiny.
We will offer a program for all generations and the opportunity to spend the whole weekend day here. Refreshments will be provided traditionally local businesses, on stage will be replaced by local music performers such as Primary Art School, bands from Petřiny and its surroundings or dancers from the local dance studio. And there will also be a fairy tale for children. Families, adult yoga, adults, children's dancers for children and much more. There will also be an art workshop under the patronage of the studio edge, a memorial workshop with a collection of memories of the beginnings of life in our housing estate, an exhibition of historical photographs of Petřin or screening of a short film from the beginning of the housing estate. The innovations include a neighboring table with goodies directly from the neighbors. They are based on the principle of joint sharing of public space, mutual assistance and volunteer deployment of locals.
The coordinator of the whole city is otherwise the Association of the Automobile, the individual locations in the cities take care of dozens of local organizers (usually a bunch of friends, local organizations, associations, active citizens, etc.).
The city's festivities have been closer to the city since 2006 and revive the public space of our cities. In the Czech Republic, the exceptional event shows what happens to the street when they belong only to people and their imagination. It is they behind the program and production of “their” festivities. Parked cars will replace concerts, theaters, workshops, games for children or recipes of local residents. In 2022, the festivities took place at 125 locations in Prague and 70 other cities.
