About event
Magic of Bohemia - Love, secrets and the shadow of history
We invite you to an exceptional literary evening with the well-known author of historical novels Michaela Ella Hajduková, who this time transports readers to the magical, but restless atmosphere of interwar Prague, where beauty, bohemian life and the dark secrets of the past mingle.
In the new book Magic of Bohemia, we follow the story of Leila and Nikolas, who they flee Berlin from the shadow of the past. They believe that Prague will bring them peace. But life among stars from Barrandovo, fashion, sewing and actresses like Adina Mandlová or Vlasta Burian, is just an illusion. Allure, Nazi magic and the ghosts of the past indicate that even Prague is not a safe haven.
Come and experience a story in which the luster of the First Republic fades under the weight of history, love takes the form of a secret and magic is not just an illusion - but a threatening reality. Michaela Ella Hajduková needs no introduction to fans of historical novels - this time, however, she will take you even deeper: into the halls that remember the darkness, and into the hearts that were not afraid to feel. Hosted by Alexandra Varcholová.
