Date: 8/4/2026 | 17:00 – 19:30
LIVE – Bratislava📍 Orange Digital Center, Legionárska 10, 811 07 Bratislava
Workshop in cooperation with Parent left behind and the Orange Foundation
Workshop How to talk to children about the online world is practical training for parents who want to better understand their children's digital environment and learn to communicate with them about it openly, calmly and safely.
We will devote the topics of cyberbullying, behavior on social networks and online games, as well as how to lead children to respectful communication and empathy - even when disagreeing. Hoaxes, fraud and manipulation are an important part of the workshop: we will show how to guide children to verify information and recognize fake content, influencers or bots.
We will also touch on the functioning of algorithms, the pursuit of likes, short videos and the risk of addiction. There is no shortage of practical tips on privacy settings, personal data security, risks of online relationships, games or abuse of artificial intelligence. The basis is building trust between parent and child - how to be a guide, not a controller.
Date: 8/4/2026
Time: 5:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Lecturers: Ivett Pavlis, Lila Michalíková
Cooperation: This activity takes place as part of the Orange Digital Center program and is free thanks to support Orange Foundation. Orange.
