Zdeněk Lyčka: Greenland - island that is talked about

The philologist and translator Zdeněk Lyčka will present Greenland, an autonomous part of the Kingdom of Danish, inhabited mainly by the offspring of Inuit and parts of the Danes. The lecture will focus on the history of self -government, cultural and political context and current attention of the media in connection with global warming, melting glaciers and the possibilities of mining of raw materials or the use of naval routes.
