Concert of the bands Janota 1935 and Zeměpásy
Zeměpásy was founded by Musil, Libovický and Jaroš in 2009 in Kladno. After a series of initial performances, there was an eleven-year hiatus. In 2022, the band reappears on the scene with a renewed composition of Musil, Libovický, Marek, Helcl, Jarvis (he is replaced by Luňáček after a year). After Helcl's departure to Scandinavia in 2025, Smejkalová joins the band.
In their work, they focus on texts by Czech authors mainly from the first half of the twentieth century, to which they compose their own music, which they describe as progressive folk rock. The five members play the following instruments during their performances: Drums, bass guitar, two guitars, keyboards, synth, transverse flute, viola, saxophone, clarinet, bass clarinet, trumpet, glockenspiel.
The music group Janota, 1935 was founded by Cikhart, Čmejrek and Juruš during their first joint visit to the U Jarolímků restaurant in 1994. Chaloupek and Seidl are coming. Demo shot of Msgre. Massaud (1997), the album Mechanical animal (2001) give rise to the term noisechanson, however completely imprecise. Here comes Georgiev, Black. Distillery (2007-2017). In his songs, in the third person, he narrates autobiographical social ballads about chairs under the window (Židle), petrol thefts (Nachodil), butterflies falling asleep in toluene fumes (Roman), escapes to the gardening colony (Kanape). Cikhart, Juruš leave, Bartošek comes. Finally came Musil.
