The end of the month in the reading room will bring a meeting with the brothers Paul and Peter Franklovce, who have long been dedicated to documenting the history of the Jewish community in Žilina. In the discussion, they will present their long -term author and publishing work that brings a view of Jewish life in our city - from the daily fates of ordinary people to important personalities, as well as events and cultural heritage. Žilina - cemetery (2022). Their latest publication entitled Jewish Žilina captures the period 1918 - 1938, when the Jewish community significantly shaped the cultural, economic and social life of the city. The authors recorded stories of important families, personalities but the lives of ordinary people who cruelly hit the Holocaust and post -war events. He wrote the books to be a Jew, beat a Jew, the history of not only our family, in the name of blood, the sleep awakened, the tickot of the Jewish clock and others. He lives in Prague. As a chairman of the Jewish Religious Community in Žilina, he participates in the publication of his brother Peter's works with Jewish theme and is a co -author of the book Jews in Žilina, who continued with other works of Jews in Žilina - personalities and Jews in Žilina - cemetery.
