We invite you to the April travel lecture, where experienced traveler Róbert Tůma will introduce us to the Amazon Waorani tribe and Braňo Kráľ will take us to the Nevada desert to the Burning Man festival. At the end, we will take a small quiz 🙂
18:00 Amazonian journey to the Waorani - Róbert Tůma
The Waorani are one of the traditional Amazonian ethnic groups that still live an "indigenous" way of life. In this lecture, we will travel to the Ecuadorian Amazon, where I managed to meet them, visit them and become part of their family. What is it like to hunt monkeys in the jungle with a blowtorch and poisoned arrows? You will learn that too in this talk.
Róbert Tůma has been actively traveling for 10 years and has managed to visit 32 countries. He comes from Bardejov, but lives in Košice. On his travels, he focuses on getting to know local cultures and traditions. In the Asian part of the world, he mainly devoted himself to Hinduism - the Shaiva path. He practiced shamanism in the Amazon region of South America. He also undertakes expeditions to high mountains and long-distance marches.
19:30 Braňo Kráľ – How to build a Burning Man camp for Musk's siblings
Braňo lived near the location of Burning Man, and went there four times. Once he helped in a polyamorous camp, once he helped build a camp for the Muks and Walton families and stayed there for two weeks, once he worked in the security forces. He considers this desert city and community as a college of event planning, and an inspiration for building something amazing from scratch. Come and have fun and find out if Burning Man is unique or hype.
