Zingdag Nederlands Kamerkoor / De Oosterpoort

After the success of recent years, SPOT Groningen and the Netherlands Chamber Choir will once again organize a Singing Day for amateur singers and choirs on Sunday, June 15, 2025. During the Singing Day you will learn everything about communal singing, voice use and timbre. This time we will work with a beautiful composition by Mozart: De Vesperae Solennes De Confessore. This Latin mass was composed in 1780 for a special liturgical celebration in the Salzburg cathedral. The work is known for its beautiful melodies, contrapuntal skills and lively orchestration and is appreciated by classical music lovers all over the world. During the Singing Day you will follow workshops and receive lessons from a number of singers from the Dutch Chamber Choir. Together with them and a conductor, you present a performance with all students at the end of the day.
