About event
House of Man z.s. in cooperation with the Association for Anthroposophical Medicine, you are invited to a seminar
Live truly
How to understand yourself? How to know what to go after and what to leave behind? Why do crises exist?
Man is a composite of very different qualities: he has physical, mental and spiritual needs (needs for meaning, targeting, creative fulfillment). The powers of feeling, thinking and will pervade his soul. Man is also a changeable being over time: in different periods of life, the above-mentioned qualities and strengths take on different forms - and yet this diversity of a small baby, teenager, active adult, parent and senior citizen forms an organic whole. Each life is unique, but it takes place on the basis of general biographical laws that can be the subject of knowledge - science.
When we recognize them in our own biography, we get the key to our own future. But we will also get a general idea of a person, which will not just be read from books, but will be a living experience, our own experience. From this realistic idea of man, we can also understand other people well and shape social forms and institutions in such a way that they support man in his development and serve him well.
The seminar will consist of morning and evening lectures (morning by Susanne Hofmeister, evening by Michaela Glöckler) and working groups, in which the two lecturers will develop and examine individual motifs from the lectures in dialogue with the participants. Biographical topics will also extend to optional artistic and practical workshops - eurythmy, art therapy and Bothmer's gymnastics. The lectures and working groups of both foreign lecturers are held in German, with interpretation into Czech.
We will start the meeting on the evening of August 19, 2026 with a pair of introductory lectures by both lecturers, which will be open to the general public in addition to seminar participants. And we will close it on Sunday, August 23 around noon.
The seminar takes place in Prague, with the possibility of cheap sleeping at the school (in the form of a "mat and sleeping bag"), or with your own accommodation. Refreshments will be provided.
IT IS NOT YET POSSIBLE TO REGISTER. This will only be possible during June, when we will inform you in more detail about the price, specifying the venue, a description of the optional artistic-practical groups, the final schedule and even a link to the online application form.
