About event
Tomorrow is never...
The whole evening will be divided into 2 parts, but of course they will intertwine and you will certainly not be bored from beginning to end! You can look forward to Radoslav "Radar" Groh and Jarda "Banán" Bánský and Libor "Borko" Dušek!
We will start at 19.30 - 20.20: Hunza: the mountaineering and cultural pearl of northern Pakistan
Libor Dušek was also a member of this year's Muču Kiš expedition, who will introduce you to the first phase of the event, including acclimatization below 6,000 Hunza Peak (6270m). He will also briefly outline the cultural context of the unique area and adjacent mountain destinations in northeastern Afghanistan, which he has been regularly visiting for a long time.
Libor "Borek" Dušek
Socio-cultural anthropologist, university teacher, publicist, also an active ski alpinist and mountaineer from Krkonoše. His key professional interest lies in the area of Váchán, i.e. in the region of northeastern Afghanistan, northeastern Pakistan, and southeastern Tajikistan and the wider region of Upper Central Asia. He is also dedicated to long-term field research in the Giant Mountains and other mountain areas, cultures and continents, and the phenomenon of climbing.
20.30 - 22.00: Radar on the first ascent of the still unconquered mountain "Muču Kiš"!
Radoslav "Radar" Groh and Jarda Bánský will take you to the top! Together with a partner in the Krkonoše expedition, Zdenek Hák, they conquered a mountain that has not yet been climbed by human foot, although various expeditions from all over the world have been trying to do so for more than 20 years - Muchu Chhish. They managed to conquer the 7,480 m high mountain located in the Pakistani part of the Karakoram mountain range this June. What is it like to stand in a place where no human being has yet entered? Come and listen to his story.
Radoslav "Radar" Groh
A mountaineer, ski alpinist and mountain guide who has a number of extreme first ascents across the world's continents.
... and those who tried to climb this mountain before the Krkonoše expedition, but failed...
