ŽIVÉ SPEKTRUM - Support for children with ADHD at home and at school
Event by: Prímerie Bookshop, Prímerie
Location: A4 - Zero Space, Karpatská 2, Bratislava - Staré Mesto
About event
Children with ADHD face different challenges at home and at school: they may have difficulty organizing and completing tasks, maintaining attention, regulating impulses, or managing emotional reactions. In the school environment, they may encounter expectations that they cannot always fulfill, and misunderstanding from classmates or teachers.
This often results in a wrong opinion of themselves - children receive more negative evaluations, receive various inaccurate "labels" and compare themselves to neurotypical peers. This can reduce their self-confidence and motivation.
Who is the workshop intended for
👪 For parents - they will learn how to better understand the child, support their development and manage everyday situations at home.
👩🏫 For teachers and support teams - they will gain a better understanding of the functioning of children with ADHD and practical strategies to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment in the classroom.
🤲 For the public - to raise awareness of ADHD and an inclusive approach to children with different ways of learning and thinking.
The workshop is part of the all-day event "Who's paying attention?" organized by Fr. from Armistice. The event brings lectures, discussions and workshops dedicated to the topic of ADHD and takes place as part of ADHD awareness month, which draws attention to the diversity of experience, attention and perception of the world
