About event

What does life look like when the head never stops, thoughts run wild and even ordinary tasks turn into a source of exhaustion? And what if you hear for years that you are "inattentive", "lazy" or "too sensitive" - although in reality it is a different way of functioning of the brain?

ADHD in women often hides for many years behind the effort to handle everything, to be perfect and to adapt to the expectations of the environment. Instead of noticeable hyperactivity, it manifests itself as inner chaos, forgetfulness, exhaustion, overload from duties or anxiety. Many women only receive a diagnosis in adulthood – sometimes after burnout or psychological problems. Together, we will look at what ADHD looks like in women, why it goes unrecognized, and what can bring understanding and acceptance.

The lecture is part of the day-long event "Who's paying attention?" organized by Fr. from Armistice. The event brings lectures, discussions and workshops dedicated to the topic of ADHD and takes place as part of the ADHD awareness month, which draws attention to the diversity of experience, attention and perception of the world

LIVING SPECTRUM – a cycle of lectures and discussions about neurodiversity

How to properly support neurodivergent children at home and at school? How to understand their world and create an environment in which they will feel understood and accepted?

The living spectrum opens space for dialogue and a deeper understanding of ADHD, breaks down prejudices and supports inclusive environments where diversity and differences are welcomed and respected.

💙 The project was created thanks to the support of the Slovak Foundation savings.
