Event by: BKJ
Location: Pfefferberg Haus 13, Schönhauser Allee 176, Berlin - Bezirk Pankow
About event
How does civil society stay strong – today and in the future? In view of political attacks, uncertain financing conditions and narrowing scope, this question is more urgent than ever. One thing is clear: strategies are needed to set up civil society in such a way that it is strengthened and remains effective in the long term.
The conference “Making civil society sustainable – securing cultural education” highlights current challenges for cultural education and other civil society organizations and shows strategies on how these can be overcome.
The focus is on the connection between sustainability and democracy: Only organizations that are stable in the long term can enable long-term participation and protect spaces for democracy. Together with representatives from cultural education and other areas, we will discuss how a strong and sustainable civil society can be created.
The specialist day offers space for analysis, exchange and discussion: Which strategies help to secure resources? How can organizations make alliances sustainable? And how can structures be further developed so that they remain sustainable?
