About event
Dear friends,
We cordially invite you to the fourth public event from the Life in the Park series, which will take place on Friday 16. July 2026 at 16:00 at the gazebo in the city park in Banská Bystrica. Kucbela.
The program combines harpsichord, electronic music and a performance of texts by Renaissance composer John Dowland. Together they will create a space for quiet stopping, listening and sharing in the middle of the summer park.
The event will also have a symbolic dimension. We will meet under a massive ash tree, which is one of the most beautiful trees in the city park and is at the same time threatened by the planned construction of a fountain as part of the project "revitalization" of the City Park.
We believe that culture can also help draw attention to the value of the trees that make up the character of this unique place.
When: Friday, July 17, 2026, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Where: at the gazebo in the middle of the City Park
We recommend bringing a blanket or a mat to sit on.
We look forward to seeing you. for a joint evening full of music, nature and good company.
In case of rain, the concert is canceled (the sensitive instrument must not get wet), but we can meet together at the ash tree.
The event is organized by the Life in the Park initiative, CEVEV Malá liška in cooperation with the Vivat Vox Organi association.
