LIVE SWAP can be found at the Koráb Theater in Dom u Tří knížat, Jánská 12.
Every month something stays at home, gets tied up and something else is missing, so unnecessarily don't spend, don't buy, save the planet and save your wallet with it, SWAP!
And what is SWAP about?
- SWAP is an exchange, the goal of which is not to buy new things unnecessarily and not to throw things away, which no longer serve us at home or which we simply do not use and just take up space.
- SWAP helps to send things that overwhelm us into the world and gives us a chance to find things that, on the contrary, make us happy and serve us well.
- SWAP distributes the remaining items where they are needed - to the Klokánek, the asylum, the Salvation Army, the Veronika or Šuplig Foundation shops, etc. according to the current agreement and demand.
If you want, you can bring even sorted things that you want to send through us to a specific place, for example to an asylum for mothers with children in need. Inform us about this when handing over at the entrance, where we sort everything you bring. Interest is usually in bed linen, towels, dishes and household items, diapers, mats, hygiene items and, of course, baby and non-perishable food (sunar, snacks, porridge, pasta, rice, etc.) or games. It can also be a well-wrapped package of pads, diapers or 1 sheet. That's fine too.
At our event, we don't limit you on the number of pieces you can bring (or take away), but we ask that you wear items in really good, working condition. Things that you would be happy to buy elsewhere yourself or shamelessly donate to, for example, your neighbors. Go through the household, choose things that are nice, functional, but you are just dusty and have no use for them.
Simply bring things in the condition that you yourself expect. And in return choose from those things that others have brought. It's not piece by piece, feel free to take more or less, it's up to you.
You can wear:
- clothes (women's, men's, children's - ideally always according to the current season , now summer/autumn)
- shoes, handbags, accessories
- toys and games
- things to create - papers, paints, crayons, etc.
- contemporary books, fiction, children's and professional books, textbooks
- household equipment
- towels and bed linen
- drugstore (it doesn't have to be new or completely unused, but again please be fair, squeezed creams belong in the trash)
- sleeping bags, blankets
- functional electronics
- POSTERS, LARGE MIRROR, BASKET BRACES, BOXES, FOLDING TABLE, etc., simply everything that makes our swaps clearer and better (for we really like to build)
What you really shouldn't wear:
- things with unwashable stains, broken zippers and holes
- musty, dirty, dusty things
- trampled shoes, with with cracked soles
- old books from the estate (the best way to donate them to a bookshop)
