ZLATÁ ŠEDESÁTÁ | DERNIÉRA

"I have seen scenes for which every judge for threatening morality would condemn us." Diary records (1959-74) capture the rise and fall of a talented artist in conflict with contemporary social and cultural circumstances as well as with their own bohemian nature. The daily offers not only an extremely intimate insight into Juráček's personality, his perception of the world and the people around him, but also in the atmosphere of the "golden age of our cinematography", which is viewed from the inside by one of the new wave actors. In his diary, Pavel Juráček left behind the work of the sovereign literary level and hypnotic impressiveness, an open documentary about the heights and the art of art. The book won in the Lidové noviny poll about the book of 2004 and received the Litera 2004 award for the publishing act.
