About event
Shrinking space for civil society: what can we do at the regional level?
Annotation: Civil society, human rights defenders in Slovakia are currently facing hate speech and efforts to discredit or limit their participation in public administration by government and political representatives. Non-governmental non-profit organizations can thereby lose credibility, favor in society, as well as internal motivation to do good due to insufficient social appreciation. Can this situation be an opportunity for civil society support at the level of municipalities? In what other ways is it possible to balance the current unfavorable situation of civil society in Slovakia?
